Papamoa Domain Heaven (says it all!)

Welcome to PARADISE, if you're viewing this place for the first time, this is it, if you live here you know what i mean. Papamoa Beach on a clear night can give you long sweeping views to the Mount and beyond to the Coromandel.

Shot on a stormy night during winter with a 200mm lens from the Domain, this is a 12 image pano stitch and makes a 2m canvas.

Papamoa also has extensive walks through the reserves which form part of the storm water system and a wetland for native birds.

Running parallel to the beach and Papamoa Hills the reserve will often put on a spectacular light display at dawn and dusk.

Ken Wrights' Lightwave Photography are always getting canvases made to specific sizes, this one shows a common three panel split.

During full high tide and winter storms we often see large trunks of drift wood, some of which stay around for quite a while, some even returning a year or so later. it's funny going down the beach and seeing driftwood that you can place in a photo that you shot a while ago.
